What do students usually do in class?

Chemistry 8 and 9

Chemistry will be integrated into the science course before Grade 10 and Grade 10, and will be studied together with biology and physics. Regarding Science 8 and 9, students will only learn some basic chemistry knowledge, because chemistry only accounts for one-third of the course. They will learn about matter, density and elements, and consolidate what they have learned.

Chemistry 10

Chemistry 10 is still integrated into the science class. Science 10 will need to master how to sort out and collect data. Students will learn more difficult knowledge than Chemistry 8 and 9, such as energy reaction, nuclear energy and radiation.

Chemistry 11

Chemistry 11 and 12 will be studied as a separate course. Chemistry 11 will involve mathe calculations, and they will learn new knowledge about substances and atoms, including compounds, stoichiometrics, and plasma reactions.

Chemistry 12

Chemistry 12 requires students to have a good foundation in Chemistry 11, and students will conduct a large number of chemical experiments. There may be risks in this process, and students and teachers need to take protective measures. The experimental topics include power, dissolution, and electricity.
